Chicken Seasoning Recipes

Chicken Caesar Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese

Optional

  • 4 small whole wheat dinner rolls

Instructions
 

  • Slice chicken breast lengthwise. This will give the breast a more even thickness, allowing it to cook more evenly as well as quicker.
  • In a small dish, add all seasonings and mix together.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium, add oil and allow to heat while seasoning both sides chicken. Carefully place into hot skillet.
  • Cook each side for 3-4 minutes allowing to brown. Remove chicken from hot skillet. Set aside.
  • Wash lettuce and lightly pat with paper towel to remove excess moisture. Chop and add to a large bowl.
  • Slice chicken thinly or into chunks. Add to bowl with lettuce. Sprinkle on croutons, add freshly grated parmesan, drizzle with dressing and gently toss. Serve immediately.

Extra

  • If not serving right away, keep all ingredients separate in sealed containers. Store in the refrigerator.
  • This is a great mason jar salad that can easily be taken on the go.
  • Great additions to this (and any) salad are: tomatoes, sliced peppers, berries, nuts and seeds. These will not only add great nutritional value but a lot of extra flavor.

Asian Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 4 teaspoons liquid aminos

Instructions
 

  • Cut chicken into small pieces. Add in the season up to the olive oil. Toss together to fully coat.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add oil. Once hot, add the chicken and saute until cooked through and no longer pink.

Optional

  • If making into a stir fry, cut all vegetables into uniform sizes. Remove chicken from skillet and cook vegetables for 5-6 minutes or until they are slightly tender, not soft.
  • Add chicken and cooked rice. Season with liquid aminos, toss to combine and heat through.

Taco Seasoning

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon cumin, ground
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Optional

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and store in an airtight container. Use 1-2 tablespoons per 1 pound of chicken, beef or ground turkey.
  • For best results, add salt and pepper to the food being cooked to fully control the taste of each individual meal.
